ANREV is pleased to invite you to a  briefing in Tokyo for the launch of our Investment Intentions Survey 2023.

The 2023 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey covers allocations and investment intentions of major institutional investors and funds of funds managers. Ms. Amélie Delaunay, ANREV's Director of Research & Professional Standards will share with us the key highlights of the survey followed by a panel discussion.

The presentation of the survey highlights and panel discussion will be following the presentation from Mr. Jun Yamamoto of PIMCO who will share with us his insight on Yen rates. 

The events will conclude with networking drinks.

Jun Yamamoto
Executive Vice President and Portfolio Manager
PIMCO

Mr. Yamamoto is an executive vice president and portfolio manager in the Tokyo office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2017, Mr. Yamamoto worked for BNP Paribas, most recently as the head of interest rate swaps in JPY. Prior to trading swaps, he was market making FX forwards. He began his career in the fixed income quantitative research department. He has 16 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate and master’s degree in physics from Imperial College London.

Amélie Delaunay
Director of Research & Professional Standards

Amélie Delaunay is the Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV, the Asian association for investors in non-listed real estate vehicles where she leads a team of five, responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Market information and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including ANREV indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.

Amélie has more than 19 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 16 years.

Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Jun Muto
Senior Vice President and Account Manager
PIMCO

Mr. Muto is a senior vice president and account manager in the Tokyo office, focusing on alternatives sales. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2022, he was the head of CBRE Capital Advisors Japan, the real estate investment banking business of CBRE, responsible for investment advisory and equity/debt placement and focusing on cross-border transactions for Japanese institutional capital. Previously, he was the Japan representative for Duet Alternative Investments, where he launched the Japan business, spearheaded private equity and hedge fund development, and built relationships with Japanese pensions, banks, and insurance companies. Prior to this, he served as CEO at RG Asset Management Singapore and held senior roles at Daiwa SMBC and The Sumitomo Bank. He has 30 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree in economics from University of Washington.

Hayato Tsuji
Deputy General Manager - Real Estate Finance Department
Development Bank of Japan

Hayato TSUJI is Deputy General Manager of Real Estate Finance Department at Development Bank of Japan. He is responsible for real estate investment and ESG activities, including DBJ Green Building Certification. Prior to that position, he worked for DBJ Asset Management from 2013 to 2016 as Managing Director responsible for acquisition and fund-raising.

He has 15 years of professional experience in the real estate industry.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law from Kyoto University and a Master of Science degree in Finance from London Business School.

Jon Tanaka
Senior Managing Director, Country Head - Tokyo, Japan

Mr. Tanaka is Senior Managing Director and Country Head overseeing new business initiatives throughout Japan. He brings more than 20 years of Japan real estate development and investment experience to the firm. Before joining Hines, he was Managing Director, Head of Japan Real Estate and member of the investment committee for Angelo Gordon's pan-Asia real estate investment team. Previously, he was Managing Director at RREEF Japan. Tanaka is a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute ('ULI") and served as Vice Chairman of ULI Japan.

Tanaka earned a B.A. degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. He also attended the Graduate School of Architecture at Kyoto University . He is fluent in Japanese and English.
