The ANREV Annual Index measures the net asset value performance of Asia Pacific non-listed real estate funds on an annual basis. Performance is measured net of fees and costs. The fund should be active for the full year in order to be included in the ANREV Annual Index. The Index is an unfrozen index in which the historical data can change with future updates.

The Index comprises of non-listed real estate funds with 90% or more GAV is targeted to invest in Asia Pacific. The Index was launched in 2011 with data going back to 2006, applying the same approach and methodology as the INREV Annual Index for European funds.

  • The 2023 ANREV annual index included data contributions from 78 funds with a total gross asset value of US$148.1 billion.

    Key highlights:

    • ANREV’s Annual All Funds Index posted a total return of -4.08% in 2023, down from 5.02% in 2022.
    • Value-added funds outperform core and opportunistic funds, posting a total return of 1.98%. Core funds reported the only negative returns across the 3 strategies, with a total return of -5.13%.
    • Both multi-sector and single-sector funds reported negative returns.
