At this session, Amélie Delaunay, Director of Research and Professional Standards at ANREV presented the key highlights of the Capital Raising and the Fund Manager survey and then joined by Alfredo Lobo, Partner at Hodes Weill & Associates, Laurent Jacquemin, Head of Asia Pacific at AXA IM Real Assets and Aviral Chaturvedi, Vice President at GLP discussed the capital raising activities and the growth of Assets under management in the non-listed real estate industry in 2020 in Asia Pacific.

Amélie Delaunay
Director of Research & Professional Standards
ANREV

Amélie Delaunay is the Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV. She is responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Performance Measurement and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including market information and performance indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.
 
Amélie has more than 19 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 15 years.
 
Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Laurent Jacquemin
Head of Asia Pacific
AXA IM Real Assets, Japan

Laurent has over 23 years of experience in the Real Estate industry. In January 2018 he has been  appointed Head of Asia-Pacific, in charge of all the operations (investments and capital  raising) for AXA IM Real Assets in the region, based in Tokyo. Laurent is a member of the  AXA IM Real Assets’ Management Board.

Until the end of 2017, Laurent was European Head of Transactions, coordinating and  executing deals for AXA IM Real Assets' clients across Europe. Prior to that Laurent was  Global Head of Corporate Finance; his responsibilities included new product structuring,  property finance and managing complex transactions. Between 2006 and 2010 he was  Head of Corporate Finance UK based in London. Laurent joined AXA IM Real Assets in 2001  as Corporate Finance Manager in Paris. He started his career at Ernst & Young working both  in Paris and Brussels.

Laurent graduated with a French Business School degree.

Alfredo Lobo

Alfredo Lobo is a Partner at Hodes Weill & Associates and responsible for the firm’s business in Asia Pacific.  Hodes Weill is a leading global capital advisory firm focused on the real estate and real assets investment and funds management industry. The firm’s activities encompass capital raising for global real estate strategies, platforms and private real estate funds, as well as strategic advisory for institutional investors and fund managers.  Hodes Weill is headquartered in New York and has offices in Hong Kong, London and Denver.
 
Prior to Hodes Weill, Alfredo was a Managing Director of Hamon Investment Group in Hong Kong.  Alfredo began his career with JP Morgan in Hong Kong and later relocated to the bank’s Real Estate Group in New York, where he led private placement activities and chaired the bank’s real estate credit committee.

Aviral Chaturvedi
Vice President, Fund Management
GLP

Aviral is Vice President, Fund Management at GLP based in Singapore. In his role, Aviral is responsible for several global initiatives at GLP including fund-level benchmarking, defining performance KPI (AUM, fees and valuation) and facilitating GLP’s rollout of global ESG-related KPIs.

Aviral is also responsible for managing GLP’s joint venture with Indospace, India’s largest logistics and warehousing platform.

Aviral has 17 years of work experience across research, investment banking, investments and business development. Before joining GLP in 2020, Aviral was leading Brookfield’s business development in South-East Asia for 6+ years.
