This webinar session is successfully held on 06 May where a panel of experts looked into latest fund structures in Ireland, Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Singapore and compare amongst them.  At this session, we are honored to have Matt Feldmann and Daryl Liu of Clifford Chance, Michelle Lloyd and Johan Terblanche of Maples and Calder to share their expertise.

Matthias Feldmann

Clifford Chance

Matt is a partner in the Funds and Investment Management group in Hong Kong and co-heads the Firm's Asian Real Estate Sector. He has been in Hong Kong since 1998 and is experienced in all types of private funds formation work (including hedge, private equity, real estate, mezzanine, and infrastructure funds), and advises on financial regulatory matters. Matt is fluent in English, French and German. 

Daryl Liu

Clifford Chance

Daryl is a Pasrtner in the Funds and Invetment Management Practice in Clifford Chance Singapore. 

He is a Singapore qualifed lawyer with extensive experience advising clients on primary fundrasings, fund secondaries and restructurings, fund investments, co-investments and advisory mandates across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, credit and venture capital strategies.

Daryl is a member of the Regulatory & Tax Committee of ANREV and speaks regularly at conferences on Singapore as a fund domicile and a fund management centre.

Michelle Lloyd

Maples and Calder

Michelle is a partner of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Hong Kong office. She provides full service Irish funds solution to Asian-based clients. She has broad experience advising on the establishment, authorisation and operation of various types of UCITS and AIFs, including the governance and distribution of such entities.

Michelle joined the Maples Group in 2010 and was elected partner in 2018. Prior to this, she was at a large Irish corporate law firm, during which she completed a secondment to an asset manager in Paris. Michelle speaks regularly at industry conferences on UCITS and AIFMD issues and is a representative for Irish Funds in Asia.
 

Johan Terblanche

Maples and Calder

Johan is Managing Partner of Maples and Calder (Luxembourg) at the Maples Group, where he is head of the Luxembourg Funds & Investment Management team. Johan has been focusing on funds structuring / formation and regulated financial business for the majority of his career. He advises managers and investors of collective investment funds, with a particular focus on alternative funds (including private equity, debt, infrastructure, real estate and hedge funds) and their management entities.

Johan joined the Maples Group in 2018. He was previously a partner in the Financial Services and Investment Management Group at Dechert. Prior to that, Johan was a partner in the investment management practice of an international firm headquartered in the Netherlands. Johan speaks Afrikaans, English and French.
