ANREV Investment Intentions Survey 2021 – Korea focused webinar session is successfully held on 21 January 2021.

The 2021 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey attracted 99 respondents in total including 84 institutional investors and 15 funds of funds managers. At this session, the key highlights of the survey presented by Amelie Delaunay, Director of Research and Professional Standards at ANREV. Mr Leslie Chua,  Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific Investment Research at Heitman moderated a panel discussion with a special focus on Korea.

Leslie Chua
Senior Vice President & Director of Asia Pacific Investment Research
Heitman

Leslie is Senior Vice President and Director of Asia Pacific Investment Research. He is responsible for all research and analysis in the Asia-Pacific region, including assisting with new acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management of properties. Additionally, he researches trends in macroeconomics, demographics, capital markets and property market fundamentals in order to identify relative value and shape investment strategies. Prior to joining Heitman, Leslie was a senior researcher and strategist at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (previously known as RREEF), a boutique Singapore-based real estate platform (Pacific Star), Standard Chartered Bank and at Jones Lang LaSalle. He has worked in Singapore and Tokyo, and speaks Mandarin.

Leslie received a BA with Honors in Political Science and History from the University of Western Australia.

John Cho
Associate Director - Investor Relations
AEW

Mr. Cho is a member of AEW’s Global Investor Relations Group.  He is responsible for marketing AEW’s investment services and for developing and maintaining client and consultant relationships in the Asia Pacific region.  Mr. Cho has more than 14 years of real estate experience in Asia, Europe and North America.  Prior to joining AEW, John was Senior Portfolio Manager at National Pension Service of Korea. Mr. Cho has also held real estate investment position at Hana Alternative Asset Management. Mr. Cho is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate & Unban Economics. 

Jayme Han
Executive Director - Asia Pacific, Corporate Finance

Ms Han is responsible for JLL Asia Pacific advisory and equity placement mandates in the firm's corporate finance group. Ms Han takes on regional responsibilities focused on advisory mandates, equity placement and distribution within Asia Pacific, including Korea. She maintains and expands a solid network with managers and investors and lead fund raising across the region, as well as executing complex advisory and equity placement mandates.

Ms Han has close to two decades experience in the industry. Most of her career was spent with National Pension Service (NPS), one of the world's biggest pension funds and a leading international investor, where she was one of founding members of its alternative platform and also led the opening & build-out of the NPS office in London. Her most recent role was with Tong Yang Life Insurance, Korea's sixth largest life insurer, where she served as a senior leadership in charge of its global and domestic alternative investments. 
 

Peter Song
Director, Fund & Portfolio Management
ESR Kendall Square

Peter Song is currently serving as a Director, Fund & Portfolio Management at ESR Kendall Square Inc., the largest logistics-specific asset manager in Korea by assets under management.  Over the recent years, he has focused on the logistics sector in Korea, having involved with numerous logistics property acquisitions and asset management responsibilities.  His most recent contribution includes the initial public offering of ESR Kendall Square REIT, Korea’s first logistics-focused REIT that was listed on Korea Exchange in December 2020.  Peter has begun his career at Merrill Lynch’s investment banking group in the US, and has previously worked at real estate investment firms including The Blackstone Group and GIC.  He is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.A.) and Columbia Business School (MBA).
