Paul Mouchakkaa is a Senior Managing Director of Portfolio Strategy & Management at Crow Holdings Capital, responsible for Core and Core+ investment programs and establishing new investment strategies while leveraging his decades of investment management experience to enhance CHC’s Investment Committee.

Paul brings nearly 25 years of institutional real estate experience, creative solutions, and service as a trusted advisor to CHC. Most recently, Paul served as Head of Real Estate of Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) and was responsible for its gross CAD$30 billion real estate portfolio globally across core to opportunistic strategies.

Prior to his tenure at AIMCo, Paul served as Managing Partner, Head of Canada with BentallGreenOak (“BGO”) and led the Canadian Investment Management team, responsible for a gross CAD$25 billion diversified real estate portfolio made on behalf of 140 Canadian and global investors. Prior to BGO, Paul served as Managing Investment Director and Head of Real Assets for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (“CalPERS”), with responsibility and authority for CalPERS’ $50 billion real asset portfolio that included top-tier commercial real estate assets and $7 billion in infrastructure assets located across the U.S., as well as in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Paul also was previously Managing Director and Global Head of Real Estate Research and Strategy for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing, and he served as a Managing Director at Pension Consulting Alliance, among other relevant work experience.

Paul is an active board member for The National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF). He is an Honors Economics graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa and holds an MBA majoring in Finance from the University of Oregon.

Sean Rae is a Senior Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group at Crow Holdings Development. Sean is responsible for national debt and equity Capital Markets, a position he has held since 2014. In this role, Sean oversees debt and equity placement and capital relationship management.

Prior to his current role, Sean was a development partner in the Trammell Crow Residential Gulf Coast (Houston, TX) office, where he oversaw multifamily development. During his tenure at Crow Holdings Development, Sean has been responsible for or directly involved in new development, refinance and sale transactions totaling more than $12 billion.

Sean received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
