Launch of ANREV | PwC Real Estate Fund Managers' Benchmarking Survey 2025

ANREV's Professional Standards Committee is pleased to announce the first webinar of the year is now open for registration.
Following the in person session in Hong Kong, we would like to share the finding more widely with members across the region.
This webinar session will commence with a presentation of key findings from the 2025 ANREV / PwC Fund Managers Benchmarking Survey. The Survey provides comprehensive insights into key operational trends among APAC real estate fund managers and covers areas such as organisational setup, governance and risk management, sustainability and climate risk management, regulatory compliance, outsourcing, technology adoption, property valuation processes, and reporting practices. The survey was last conducted in 2021, and the 2025 report shows some interesting changes in how managers’ operations have evolved over the years.
This year’s survey comprises insights from 21 leading fund managers, representing over US$1 trillion in global real estate assets under management.
Following the presentation, a fireside chat featuring Yian Wang from AEW and Daniel Barker from GLP Capital Partners will explore key operational topics relevant to managers as they set strategic priorities for 2026. Key topics will include:
- Meeting heightened governance requirements from investors
- Optimising operating models to increase margins
- Investing in the green premium
- Technology modernisation
- Other pertinent issues
The discussion will be moderated by Michelle Wong from PwC.

Yian Wang
Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer - Asia Pacific
AEW
Yian Wang is the Chief Investment Officer for AEW Asia Pacific, responsible for overseeing all of AEW’s commingled and direct investments in the Asia Pacific.
Ms. Wang plays an integral part within the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, actively contributing to AEW’s overall strategic vision and direction. She is also a member of the AEW Asia Pacific Investment and Risk Management Committees.
Based in Hong Kong, she has extensive portfolio and asset management experience across the different Asian markets in which AEW invests. Ms. Wang has worked in both Mainland China and Hong Kong with prior investment management roles including Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing and Hongkong Land, a subsidiary of Jardine Matheson Group.
She graduated with First Class Honors from the University of Cambridge and has an M.A., M. Eng and B.A. in Chemical Engineering and was a recipient of the prestigious Jardine Scholarship.
Daniel Barker
Chief Accounting Officer
GLP Capital Partners
Dan is currently the Chief Accounting Officer at GLP Capital Partners, a China-focused real estate and asset management firm specializing in logistics, data centers, and renewable energy. Based in Hong Kong & Singapore, Dan leads finance and reporting functions with a focus on real estate asset management and contributes to ANREV's Professional Standards Working Group, advancing transparency in Asia Pacific non-listed real estate vehicles.
Michelle Wong

Michelle is a partner within the Financial Services Assurance division specialising in serving clients in the asset management industry, including asset management firms, private investment funds, and family offices. She also has experience in advising clients on fund start-ups, governance, and regulatory and compliance matters.
Michelle currently leads PwC’s collaboration with Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (“ANREV”) including co-branded reports and publications. She is also a frequent speaker at industry seminars.
