David Sleet is the Fund Manager of the $3.5 billion GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund having responsibility for the Fund since 2016, initially as Deputy Fund Manager.
He is responsible for setting and executing the strategy for the pooled fund, which was established in 2007 for Australian and offshore institutional investors. During his tenure with GWSCF, the Fund has executed over $3 billion of capital transactions and developments to curate one of Australia’s leading retail centre portfolios in the unlisted market.
David has over 30 years’ experience in the property industry, having started his real estate career in residential property management before commencing with Lendlease in 2000, and ultimately joining GPT in 2005. During his career David has also held roles in operational management, leasing, development and capital transactions.
David has a degree in Commerce, majoring in Land Economics, from Western Sydney University and was awarded the University Medal. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and currently sits on the Property Council of Australia Fund Managers Roundtable (Capital Markets Division). David also participates as a mentor in the ANREV Mentorship Program.

Josie Taslim is Senior Investor Relations Manager at Dexus and is responsible for investor engagement and relationship management for the Dexus Wholesale Property Fund and Dexus’s real estate joint ventures and mandates. This includes the creation and execution of the investor relations strategy to foster strong institutional capital relationships, and equity raising and marketing. Prior to this, Josie held a variety of roles in Dexus’s corporate governance and sustainability teams, including leading current and prospective investor due diligence reviews for Dexus’s unlisted pooled property funds and as Dexus’s ESG Reporting Manager where was responsible for effectively communicating Dexus’s sustainability approach and performance to listed and unlisted investors. She has extensive experience partnering with both private and public companies.
Josie holds a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Anthropology) from the University of New South Wales, a Certificate in Governance Practice from the Governance Institute of Australia and is currently completing her Master of Business Administration (Social Impact) at UNSW’s Australian Graduate School of Management.
