The ANREV Young Professionals Committee is pleased to announce that the ANREV Young Professionals Conference 2025 is now open for registration. This year, the conference will be held on 14 October in Singapore.

This year’s conference, themed "Certainty in Chaos: Real Estate Returns Beyond the Headlines," will bring together approximately 100 rising professionals in a collaborative environment designed to share insights, build networks, and engage with senior leaders from across the industry.

Held at the Ritz-Carlton, the conference will feature a half-day of panel discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities that address the dynamic and evolving nature of real estate investment in the Asia Pacific region.

Hamish MacDonald
Head & Chief Investment Officer of Asia Pacific Real Estate
BlackRock

Hamish MacDonald, Managing Director, is the Head and Chief Investment Officer of Asia Pacific Real Estate, leading BlackRock's real estate activities across the region. Hamish is responsible for the strategy and management of the business operations as well as the real estate funds and assets managed in the region. He is a member of the Global Value Add Real Estate Investment Committee.

Hamish's service with the firm dates back to 2007, including his years with MGPA, which was acquired by BlackRock in 2013. He originally joined the London office where he was Head of Acquisitions - UK and in 2012 he established the office in Sydney. Hamish began his career in real estate in 1999 and has been focusing on the sourcing and management of value add investment opportunities since 2007. Hamish began his career in Sydney where he was a Development Manager at the Mirvac Group and a Commercial Advisor at Colliers International.

Hamish holds a BCom in Economics and Finance from the University of Sydney and is a Committee Member of the Property Council of Australia.

Ervin Yeo
Group Chief Strategy Officer and CEO, Commercial Management
CapitaLand Investment

Ervin Yeo is the Group Chief Strategy Officer at CapitaLand Investment (CLI), responsible for developing and executing CLI's strategies globally. He is concurrently CEO, Commercial Management, responsible for CLI's commercial and asset management business across China and Southeast Asia, which includes integrated development, retail, office, business park and logistics. Ervin also oversees the Research function.

Previously, Ervin was Southeast Asia Managing Director for the Ascott Limited, the Group’s lodging arm, driving operational performance and business growth of properties in these countries. He was concurrently in charge of Strategic Planning for Ascott.

Before joining CapitaLand in 2015, Ervin worked in the Singapore public sector. Across his career, Ervin has been based in Tianjin, Shanghai, New York and Washington, D.C.

Ervin holds a degree in Ethics, Politics & Economics from Yale University, USA.

Michael Szymanski
Head of Pacific Investments
CBRE Investment Management

Michael is the Head of Investments – Pacific, CBRE Investment Management Indirect, based in Sydney and is responsible for all aspects of indirect investments in Australia and New Zealand including development of investment strategy, portfolio allocation, underwriting of asset and portfolio acquisitions, structuring, and asset due diligence.

Michael oversees CBRE IM client equity of $3+ billion USD invested in Australian and New Zealand investments held across wholesale funds, clubs, JVs, and programmatic ventures across a range of core to value-add real estate strategies in Office, Industrial and Retail, Student Accommodation and Specialist Disability Housing. Michael holds several representative committee positions on behalf of CBRE IM and its clients.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Sydney, and a Juris Doctor (Laws) from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

Victor Law
Associate – Real Estate, Real Assets
CPP Investments

Victor Law is an Associate with CPP Investments’ Real Estate Asia team, based in Hong Kong, and is responsible for real estate investments and asset management in the region. Prior to joining CPP Investments, Victor was an Associate Director at Manulife Investment Management (“Manulife”), where he focused on real estate acquisitions across Asia. Prior to Manulife, Victor was an Analyst and a member of the Asia listed real estate investments team at LaSalle Investment Management.

Victor holds a B.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Tony Chen
Senior Director Head of China, Asia Pacific
Invesco Real Estate

Tony Chen is the Senior Director, Head of China, for Invesco Real Estate (IRE). Tony is responsible for leading the China acquisitions team, including the sourcing and execution of various real estate opportunities in China.

Tony began his investment career in 2010 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 2022. Prior to joining Invesco, Tony was a partner at Funlive Holdings, a leading PRC rental apartment asset manager. Tony also held various key positions at JM Capital, Macquarie Group and The Link REIT.

Tony earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Goizueta Business School of Emory University. He is a member of the Asian Executive Committee.

Hui Fang Lee
Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Data Centres
Keppel

Ms Lee has more than 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions. She joined Keppel in 2022 as Director in Keppel’s Group Mergers & Acquisitions team where she was involved in the landmark divestment of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd. and acquisition of Aermont Capital, the leading independent real estate manager in Europe. Ms Lee was subsequently appointed Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Data Centres at Keppel in 2023 where she oversees Keppel’s data centre investments and asset management across various investment platforms and mandates. Prior to joining Keppel, Ms Lee spent 10 years at JP Morgan where she was in the investment banking team. At JP Morgan, Ms Lee worked on over $20 billion of global M&A and capital raising transactions across various real estate sub-sectors, industrials, infrastructure and healthcare. Aside from JP Morgan, Ms Lee also worked in the investments teams at KV Asia Private Equity and Singapore Power.

Janice Lai
Investment Associate
Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Based in Singapore, Janice is an investment associate at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where she is responsible for real estate investments and portfolio management across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to this, she was an Investment Associate at IGIS, where she contributed to the launch of IGIS' APAC regional office, focused on real assets acquisitions, and fostered relationships with key stakeholders.

Janice holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Real Estate from the National University of Singapore, and is currently a member of the ANREV’s Young Professionals Working Group.

Shaowei Toh
Head of Research & Strategy, Asia Pacific
Savills Investment Management

Shaowei Toh leads the research and strategy function for Asia Pacific, where he oversees the regional research agenda and contributes to shaping the firm’s global investment and growth strategies. His role involves the development of forward-looking market and investment theses across sectors and geographies, and the integration of top-down strategic views into bottom-up investment execution. Shaowei brings a deep understanding of market cycles, institutional capital flows, and the evolving role of real estate within global portfolios. He works closely with investment, asset management, and capital raising teams to ensure that research insights inform decision-making at every level of the business.

Shaowei is a voting member of the Asia Pacific Investment Committee. Prior to joining the firm, Shaowei was Head of Real Estate Research and Strategy for Asia Pacific at UBS Asset Management.

Shaowei graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor's degree in economics and a Master's degree in real estate.  He also holds a Master's degree in finance from the Baruch College, City University of New York

Li En Gan

Li En Gan is an Associate in the Investor Relations team at SC Capital Partners. Based in Singapore, she is involved in project management, fundraising, and marketing initiatives across the firm’s various strategies.

Prior to joining SC Capital Partners in 2021, Ms. Gan undertook several internships across various segments of the real estate industry—including REITs, property and asset management, and auctions and sales—gaining exposure to a broad range of real estate functions.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate (Honors)(Distinction) from the National University of Singapore.

Augustus Set
Director, Multi-Managers Real Estate Asia Pacific investment
UBS Asset Management

Augustus Set is a Director in the Multi-Managers Real Estate Asia Pacific investment team (MMRE APAC), a business which forms part of Real Estate & Private Markets within UBS Asset Management (UBS-AM).

His team actively invests in a wide range of unlisted real estate, operated by either UBS or third-party managers, primarily on behalf of institutional investors globally.

In his role, Augustus is involved in the underwriting, investment and monitoring of investments for MMRE mandates and segregated accounts. He is also involved in client reporting and relationship management, as well as business development and capital raising initiatives. In addition, he takes care of the research and analysis of APAC markets for potential investments, and serves on the MMRE Sustainability Workgroup.

Prior to joining the MMRE APAC team, he joined UBS as part of the Graduate Talent Program (GTP) in 2015. As part of the GTP, he spent time on rotations in FX sales at UBS Investment Bank, MMRE at UBS-AM, and at the Chief Investment Office at UBS Wealth Management.

Jake Kang (강신욱)
Senior Associate, Asset Management
Warburg Pincus

Jake is based in Singapore, joined Warburg Pincus in 2025, and is a Senior Associate in the Real Estate Asset Management team. 

Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he was an Associate at LaSalle Investment Management in Seoul, where he focused on acquisitions and asset management across logistics and office development deals in Korea. Before LaSalle, he worked as an Analyst at IGIS Asset Management in the global investment team, covering outbound acquisitions and asset management in the U.S. and Europe. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

Jake holds a B.A. in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting) from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He is fluent in Korean and English, and conversational in Mandarin Chinese.
