Yian Wang is the Chief Investment Officer at AEW Asia Pacific, responsible for overseeing all of AEW's commingled and direct investments in the Asia Pacific. Ms. Wang plays an integral part within the firm's Senior Leadership Team, actively contributing to AEW's overall strategic vision and direction. She is also a member of the AEW Asia Pacific Investment and Risk Management Committees. Based in Hong Kong, she has extensive portfolio and asset management experience across the different Asian markets in which AEW invests. Ms. Wang has worked in both Mainland China and Hong Kong with prior investment management roles including Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing and Hongkong Land, a subsidiary of Jardine Matheson Group. She graduated with First Class Honors from the University of Cambridge and has an M.A., M. Eng and B.A. in Chemical Engineering and was a recipient of the prestigious Jardine Scholarship.

Charles Haase is Chief Executive of ANREV, the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles. ANREV is a member driven non-profit organization producing research and indices relevant to the private real estate industry in Asia Pacific, and promoting improved transparency and best practices across the region.
Prior to joining ANREV, Charlie had experience on both sides of the investment table, working for Aetos Japan and Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation in Tokyo, and for the California State Teachers’ Retirement System in the United States. Prior to joining CalSTRS, Charlie was on the Economics faculty of San Francisco State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Harumi Kadono joined abrdn Japan in 2024 as the Head of Japan Real Estate. She brings over 20 years of experience in the real estate investment and financial industry. Before her tenure at abrdn Japan, Kadono was a part of Atlas Partners starting in 2009, a predecessor firm which subsequently merged into IDERA Capital Management, where she provided fund management services to a broad spectrum of international investors as the Head of Fund Management. There, she oversaw all fund management activities, including the development of investment strategies, fundraising, and managing investor relations. Earlier in her career, she spent four years at GIC Real Estate. In this role, she spearheaded real estate fund composition and management projects, focusing on investments and managements of S-class office buildings and the development of commercial facilities in Tokyo. Kadono also held various positions at GE Real Estate, contributing to the asset management and mezzanine debt teams. Her responsibilities included the origination and servicing of several non-recourse loans. She earned her bachelor's degree from Osaka University and a master's degree from the Graduate School of International Christian University.

Akihiro Tanida joined Asset Management One Co., Ltd. in April 2024. He is responsible for managing funds entrusted by pension funds and financial institutions as a gatekeeper for global real estate fund investments. Prior to joining Asset Management One, he worked at Nippon Life Insurance Company from 2009 to 2024, focusing on domestic and international real estate investments. During this period, he served as the head of overseas real estate fund investments for Nippon Life's general account assets in the alternative investment department of Nissay Asset Management for two years starting in 2022. Additionally, from 2016 to 2022, he stayed in the United States, where he handled U.S. real estate investments including equity, debt, CMBS, and REITs at Principal Global Investors for two years. He then moved to Nippon Life Global Investors Americas in New York, where he served as the head of real asset fund investments for four years. Before moving to the U.S., he was involved in office development and equity fund investments in the domestic real estate department of Nippon Life. Prior to joining Nippon Life, he worked at Pacific Management from 2006, engaging in domestic real estate development and core strategy fund asset management. Before that, he worked as a first-class architect at the design headquarters of Taisei Corporation for five years. He holds a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo.

Hiroshi Okubo has served as the Head of Investor Thought Leadership, Asia Pacific Research, since January 2025. He provides clients with insights into regional and global real estate markets and collaborates closely with the APAC Research Team on thought leadership publications. Hiroshi joined CBRE in October 2013 as Head of Japan Research, leading a team that analysed leasing and investment trends across key sectors, including office, industrial, retail, hotel, and some of the alternative assets. The team also covers other aspects of the Japanese real estate marketplace and provides perspectives on topics of interest to owners, occupiers, and investors.
Before joining CBRE, he spent nearly 16 years working as a sell-side equity analyst for investment banks that included Mizuho Securities, Macquarie Capital Securities, Goldman Sachs, and UBS. He has covered the real estate sector since 2000.

Chi Hua is Managing Director in Real Estate Asia team at CPP Investments based in Hong Kong, and is responsible for North Asia investments. Chi Hua has 18 years of industry experience, who has managed multiple key partnerships in the region across various sectors, strategies and countries.
Prior to joining CPP Investments, Chi Hua worked in Private Real Estate Asia Pacific team in APG and Research team in APG Amsterdam. Chi Hua earned BBA in National Taiwan University, MS in Vrije Universiteit and Stanford University.

As Co-Head of Investment Management, Chiang Ling is responsible for developing investment and fund strategies that align with Hines’ global investment approach. She is a member of the firm’s Executive and Investment Committees.
Chiang Ling joined Hines in 2021 as Chief Investment Officer of Asia. Leveraging more than 25 years of investment expertise, Chiang Ling built a comprehensive, diversified strategy for Hines’ first pan-Asia core-plus fund and plays a key role in developing Hines’ discretionary fund business.
A deeply engaged investment industry participant, Chiang Ling currently serves as chairperson of the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV), which focuses on improving transparency and fostering best practices across the region for the private real estate industry.
Chiang Ling is also a passionate proponent of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In addition to leading the “OneHines Women’s Network” initiative in Asia, she dedicates significant time to mentoring the next generation of investment professionals and leaders within Hines and beyond.
Prior to joining Hines, Chiang Ling held leadership roles at M&G Real Estate Asia and the real estate private equity division of Goldman Sachs. She earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Princeton University and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese. Outside of work, Chiang Ling enjoys golf, swimming, and tennis.

Jon Tanaka serves as the Head of Asia Pacific and Country Co-Head of Japan at Hines. He oversees the Asia Pacific real estate services business while continuing to grow and manage the Japan team and portfolio.
Tanaka joined Hines in 2021 and brings more than 30 years of real estate development and investment experience. He led the rapid expansion of Hines’ Japan portfolio of developing projects to over 30 high-performing assets across residential, industrial and logistics and office sectors, totaling more than US$2 billion in asset value.
Tanaka is an Executive Committee member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Asia Pacific and served as a ULI Global Governing Trustee as well as Vice Chairman of ULI Japan.
Tanaka earned a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He also attended the Graduate School of Architecture at Kyoto University. Tanaka is fluent in Japanese and English.

From 2015 to 2023, he served as the President & CEO of Sumisho Realty Management, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, and expanded its AUM to over \700 billion. He diversified the firm's investments in structures such as SOSiLA Logistic REIT(publicly-traded) and SC Realty Private REIT(privately-placed) alongside a broad spectrum of separate accounts.
Earlier, at Sumitomo Corporation, he held pivotal roles and managed a comprehensive real estate portfolio in both Japan and the US, encompassing residential, commercial, and logistics sectors.
From 2024 to April 2025, he served as Director and Head of Strategic Business Division at ES-CON Japan. He is currently with Fortress Investment Group, where he is engaged in J-REIT related operations.
He graduated from Kyoto University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. Also, he is a licensed architect in Japan, an esteemed ARES Certified Master, APREA Board Member/Japan Chapter Chairperson and RICS Japan, MEG Co-chairperson (FRICS).

Dan Klebes is a Partner of GreenOak, based in Tokyo. Dan is Representative Director of GreenOak Investment Management K.K.
Dan has 30 years of experience in the Japanese real estate market, as an investor and investment banker. Prior to joining GreenOak, Dan founded and led GTO Capital Management, an investment firm where he advised and co-invested with clients in the United States and Japan. Previously, Dan was Chief Investment Officer for Japan for Aetos Capital Asia, where he led a Tokyo-based real estate team of over 100 professionals and grew assets under management by over $6 billion. Dan started his career in 1987 at Goldman Sachs and spent 10 years as a real estate investment banker in Tokyo and New York. In 1997, Dan founded Goldman Sachs’ Japanese Real Estate Principal Investment Area, where he led the acquisition of over $5 billion of Japanese real estate-related investments and helped build Goldman’s property investment and asset management operations from startup to over 200 professionals.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Stanford University. He has lived in Japan for more than 15 years and is fluent in Japanese.

Kazunari Yaguchi is a Senior Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Investment Department of Japan Post Bank. He is responsible for all real estate related investments across the globe by the bank. He joined Japan Post Bank in March 2016 and established its Real Estate Investment from scratch. He has built the team of 18 members in the bank, and defined the investment strategy and process. The bank invests sizable capital in all 4 quadrants composed of public-private and equity-debt. The real estate AUM is now \4.0 trillion and its performance has been better than the market average.
Kazunari has over 24 years of experience in real estate space in both equity and debt investments. Prior to Japan Post Bank, he was an executive director responsible for real estate investment in the Asset Finance Department of Development Bank of Japan (“DBJ”). He received LLB Law from Tohoku University, Japan, and Masters in Finance from London Business School, UK. He is a CFA and CAIA charterholder and holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.

Work History
In December 2016, joined Westmont Japan Investments K.K., an investment company specializing in hotel assets. As head of Japan, he oversaw all aspects of their operation, including, sourcing deals, asset management, operations, and dispositions.
Prior to Westmont, he worked at Shinsei Bank, Queens Capital Partners and Lehman Brothers, where he gained extensive experience in hotel real estate, finance and asset management. He has experience in direct investment, distressed investment, debt restructuring / recapitalization, and advisory.

Shai is the head of JLL's Japan Capital Markets - International Capital where he covers the firm’s strategic clients and international institutions investing in, or looking to invest in Japan.
Prior to that, Shai was a Senior Vice President at GENKAI Capital Management- a Japanese Asset and Fund Management Firm where he was investing throughout the capital stack in commercial real estate in Japan, South Asia and the US.
Shai started his real estate career at a New York Investment Bank where he was involved in, well over, 12$US Billion in CRE debt and equity transactions.
Upon returning to Japan, Shai joined global advisory firm where he pursued tenant representation, land acquisitions, equity raise, portfolio management and investment sales opportunities.
In addition, Shai is an adjunct professor at Temple University and previously at New York University.
Shai is PhD candidate at Tokyo City University and holds a master’s degree in real estate finance & Investment from New York University and a BA in Management & East Asian Studies (graduated Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University.
Shai is a New York licensed real estate salesperson (inactive).

Koju Komatsu joined Kenedix Inc. in April 2005. After joining Kenedix, one of Japan's leading real estate asset management companies, he engaged with the foundation of J-REIT(KDX Real Estate Investment Corporation)and has been involved in all aspects of REIT operations, including listing process, investment management, IR and legal control. KDX REIT has grown into a diversified REIT with AUM of 1.1 trillion yen as of 2025.
In 2012, he was appointed head of proprietary investments at Kenedix. Since then, he has supervised the company's equity investments and debt investments made with its own funds for over 13 years. The company has totally invested in approximately 900 properties in Japan, with an investment value of 3.2 trillion yen, a wide range of asset type including office, residential, logistics, commercial, hotel, wooden rental house, senior healthcare, and land development. In April 2025, he has been appointed Director and CIO, responsible for both division of fund origination and proprietary investment.
Prior to Kenedix, he joined Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank and Cititrust Bank for nine years, where he handled real estate brokerage, trustee, and NRL financing business.
He is a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser (LREA) and Certified Manager of the Securities Analysts (CMA) and has been a lecturer for the ARES Real Estate Securitization Master Course for nearly 20 years.
He graduated from Waseda University School of Law.

Justin is a Managing Director for Macquarie Asset Management’s Real Estate group (MAM RE) and is responsible for originating and managing real estate investments in Australia on behalf of MAM RE’s flagship fund series, Macquarie Real Estate Partners (MREP). Justin has over 14 years of real estate private equity investing experience having worked across a number of MAM RE’s successful investments, including LOGOS and Investa Office Management. Justin currently leads MREP’s Australian land lease communities strategy and MREP’s investment in IDA, an Australian real estate private credit manager.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (Distinction) from the University of Wollongong.

Robert is currently a Senior Advisor at Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities, where he has worked since 1998. In addition, he is a Senior Specially Appointed Professor at Tokyo University of Science, where he taught from 2017 to 2022. Outside formal work, he was a commentator on Japan’s nightly business program, World Business Satellite, from 2000 to 2020, and has served on the US-Japan Friendship Commission and as an outside director at Orix Corporation. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and BAs in Economics and in Japanese Studies from Yale. He was an exchange student in Japan in high school. He has published ten books in Japanese, and one in English, and has translated three books from Japanese to English.

Ataru is the founder and CEO of Nest Hotel Japan Corporation, which operates stylish, design-conscious hotels in major cities and resort areas across Japan. Since its founding in 2013, it has grown to 23 hotels with 3,150 rooms nationwide. Prior to this, Ataru established Greenfield Advisors Corporation in 2009, managing international investment funds focused on hotel assets, leading to the launch of an independent and investor-friendly hotel operating platform, Nest Hotel.
Ataru's earlier career includes leadership roles such as President of Star Mica Asset Partners Co., Ltd. and Vice President, Japan, U.S.-based IT venture. He also served as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney and was involved in various real estate developments at Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.
Ataru holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Masami Takizawa serves as the Representative Director and Head of Japan at Patrizia, overseeing investments in Japan and managing both inbound and outbound capital raising for Patrizia's global funds.
Before joining Patrizia in 2020, Masami was instrumental in capital raising from Japanese investors at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and UBS Asset Management. She has also held various key roles at international banks such as Morgan Stanley, Societe Générale, and Westdeutsche Immobilienbank, where she played a pivotal role in launching their CMBS, mortgage lending, and other real estate platforms in Japan.
Masami holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Keio University.

Ronald is Founding Partner and Chairman of Pro-invest Group since the company’s inception. He is a serial entrepreneur with over 40 years of real estate investment, development and project management experience working on a variety of transactional projects in Europe, the GCC and Asia.
Ron was previously CEO and thereafter main Board Director of ALDAR Properties PJSC. Under his executive management, the company had a development program in excess of USD75 billion, focusing on residential, retail, commercial and hospitality assets. This included the development of the world-renowned Yas Island, home to Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi (built between 2005 and 2009), along with various other iconic developments. Prior to joining ALDAR, Ron was Founder, CEO and Chairman of Stannifer Group, an integrated development and real estate asset management company with retail, office, and hotel assets across Europe and other international markets, including Australia (1991-2004).
After a merger with an LSE-listed company, the combined company was sold successfully through a trade sale to a JV vehicle between Westfield, Multiplex and Rubens Brothers (GBP 1.9 billion transaction) providing assets such as White City, Stratford City on Merry Hill, today’s Westfield’s flagship assets in the UK. Ronald is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Luke is RW Capital’s Head of Research and Institutional Capital and one of Australia’s leading property experts. He provides market commentary and analysis on the Australian commercial real estate capital markets.
Luke has more than 20 years of global investment and property research experience throughout and has held senior positions within fund managers, consulting firms and commercial agencies. His experience covers commercial and residential sectors, looking at markets through the lens of private and institutional investors.
Luke has held senior leadership positions at iconic international brands such as AMP Capital, Colliers, CBRE, AECOM and Macquarie Bank.
Luke holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Arts from Monash University with Honours in Melbourne, and a Master of Business (Property) from RMIT.

Howard is co-founder & CEO of Section L Hospitality Group, a Tokyo-based hotel management company. Founded in 2020, Section L operates a portfolio of 11 apartment hotels and serviced residences, primarily targeting inbound travellers. The company built its track record through converting multifamily buildings and repositioning existing hotels to achieve value-add returns. In 2024, Section L assisted its real estate partners through multiple successful exits while retaining management rights.
Prior to Section L, Howard worked for Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts as an asset manager and founding team member of JEN by Shangri-La. His other experiences include Four Seasons Hotels, Horwath HTL, and founding a short-term rentals platform in Japan.
Howard graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. He serves on ULI Japan's Executive Committee and is a member of YPO.
