ANREV Investment Intentions Survey 2024 - Sydney Launch Event

The 2024 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey covered allocations and investment intentions of major institutional investors and funds of funds managers. Ms. Amélie Delaunay, ANREV's Senior Director of Research & Professional Standards, shared the key highlights of the survey. The event kicked off with a macroeconomic update, followed by the presentation of survey results and a panel discussion, concluding with networking drinks.

Amelie Delaunay
Senior Director, Research & Professional Standards
ANREV

Amélie Delaunay is the Senior Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV, the Asian association for investors in non-listed real estate vehicles where she leads a team of five, responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Market information and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including ANREV indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.

Amélie has more than 19 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 16 years.

Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Sophia Strohfeldt
Investment Analyst
Aware Super

Sophia is an Investment Analyst in the Property team at Aware Super and is responsible for assessing and undertaking due diligence on new investments in Australia and globally as well as managing existing assets (across unlisted funds, co-investments and operating platforms) within the c.$10bn portfolio. As part of her role, Sophia sits on the Lendlease Australian Prime Property Fund (APPF) Commercial and GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund IRC’s. Sophia joined Aware Super in January 2022, having spent 4 years at Stockland working across the research, strategy and M&A teams. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.

Alexandra Crossing
Regional Head, Asia Pacific
CBRE Investment Management

Alexandra Crossing is the Regional Head for Asia Pacific and the Head of Pacific Investments within CBRE Global Investment Partners. After 9 years in the Singapore office responsible for managing the Asian component of the global separate account clients, sourcing and undertaking due diligence on investment opportunities, Ms. Crossing relocated to Sydney in early 2017 to manage the Pacific region business, focusing on client investments in Australia and New Zealand, before taking on the regional role in 2019. Ms. Crossing also leads the global farmland investment programme and represents CBRE Global Investment Partners on the group’s Global Responsible Investment Management Committe.

Alexandra joined the GIP team in 2008 after spending four years with CB Richard Ellis in Hong Kong as a Director within the CBRE Consulting business. Ms. Crossing performed a regional role working with CBRE Consulting teams across Asia, and was responsible for delivering multi-country studies on emerging markets with a particular focus on Greater China. She managed a core team in Hong Kong and worked with a diverse range of clients providing strategic investment advice including market entry strategies, feasibility/highest and best use assessments as well as research and analysis relating to real estate acquisition and disposition. Ms. Crossing was also a Property Manager for AMP Henderson Global Investors (now AMP Capital) Commercial Property Management and started her career in the real estate sector as an Analyst for Tourism Asset Holdings Limited (TAHL) in 1997.

Alexandra has a degree in Business from the University of Technology Sydney, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance & Investment, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has completed RIAA’s Responsible Investment Essentials.

David Roberts
Head of Real Estate Strategy
Macquarie Asset Management

David is the Head of Real Estate Strategy for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), producing property research across major global markets and sectors for external and internal clients, including Macquarie Group’s Board.

Previously, he was a member of UBS Asset Management’s Real Estate Team, where he was the Head of Real Estate Research for Asia Pacific, responsible for formulating market views and strategies for the Direct Real Estate and Multi-Manager businesses. Prior to that, David was the UK Head of Research at Grosvenor and worked as an Economist at the Australian Treasury.

David holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Queensland, a Master of Economics/Econometrics from the Australian National University, and an IPF Diploma in Property Investment.

Brett Dillon
Head of Property
TCorp

Responsible for leading the development and implementation of TCorp's A$10bn global property portfolio strategy, Brett Dillon has over 25 years’ experience in Australian and global markets.

Joining TCorp in 2021, Brett has held a range of senior leadership roles including Head of Funds Management at AXA Investment Managers and Head of Investment at Grosvenor Australia. He has extensive Executive Committee and director experience and has been a responsible manager under an AFSL License. 

Brett is a member of the of the Property Council of Australia Capital Markets division Owner’s Committee. He is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Brett holds a graduate certificate in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA as well as a Bachelor of Commerce, (Land Economics) from Western Sydney University.
