Speakers’ bio follows:

Michael Tanujaya 
Investment Director – Business Development
Lend Lease


Michael Tanujaya joined Lend Lease in 2007 and is currently an Investment Director – Business Development with Lend Lease Asia. Prior to this role, Michael was the Investment Director for Lend Lease Japan, Investment Manager with Lend Lease Asia and Product Development Manager with Lend Lease’s Australia & Asia businesses, and was involved in various acquisitions (Darling Walk, Barangaroo developments in Sydney, Australia and Jurong Gateway in Singapore) and fund originations (Lend Lease Asian Retail Investment Fund and Lend Lease Real Estate Partners 3).

Prior to joining Lend Lease, Michael spent 4 years in General Electric, working in various areas as Commercial Manager, Audit Manager and Business Development Manager.

Michael holds an MBA (Executive) degree from The Australia Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce and Science degrees from the University of Melbourne. He is also a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) in Australia. He currently serves as chairman for ANREV Young Professionals.

 

Matthew Nortcliff
Senior Associate - Investment Funds

Matthew advises regional and global asset managers on the structuring, establishment and management of their investment vehicles and advises institutional investors on their investments across a range of sectors, including real estate, infrastructure and private equity. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells in Singapore in 2010, Matthew practiced in London for five years with another market-leading real estate funds firm.

Matthew has been recognized as a Rising Star by IFLR1000 and is described by clients as “a favourite for his strong technical ability and regional experience” (IFLR1000, 2013).

 

Alistair Meadows
Head of International Capital Group, Asia Pacific (ICG)
JLL

ICG is a small global team of senor capital markets professionals who facilitate cross border transactions between Asia Pacific, EMEA and the Americas.

Alistair is responsible for importing and exporting real estate capital into and out of Asia Pacific through the JLL Capital Markets network regionally and globally. A key part of Alistair’s ICG role is to identify new sources of capital in Asia Pacific and connect this capital to real estate opportunities globally via JLL’s Capital Markets network.

Alistair has over 18 years of international real estate experience within Asia Pacific and Europe, with a specialization in cross border capital transactions. Prior to joining JLL in Singapore, he was previously based in Sydney (2000-2010) and London (1995 -2000) where he was responsible for major cross border investment transactions totalling over US$3billion.

Carsten Kebbedies
Head of Business Development
TIAA Henderson Real Estate

With 14 years of experience, Carsten is responsible for the development and implementation of investment products, and identifying opportunities for the extension of the TIAA Henderson Real Estate business.

His role also involves targeting partners and clients, as well as underwriting M&A opportunities to grow the Asia-Pacific business.

He joined the company in October 2006 from KPMG Germany where he was consulting clients on cross-border M&A activities and acquisition structures. In his role, he dealt, in particular, with private equity funds and property funds.

Carsten attended university in Germany and the UK. He holds a degree in Law and a master’s degree (LL.M) I International Business Law
