ANREV is pleased to invite you to a  briefing in Sydney for the launch of our Investment Intentions Survey 2023.

The 2023 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey covers allocations and investment intentions of major institutional investors and funds of funds managers. Ms. Amélie Delaunay, ANREV's Director of Research & Professional Standards will share with us the key highlights of the survey followed by a panel discussion.

The presentation of the survey highlights and panel discussion will be following the presentation of the current economic environment by Mr. David Roberts, Global Real Estate Strategist of Macquarie Asset Management.

The events will conclude with networking drinks.

David joined Macquarie in 2017 and leads the Global Real Estate Strategy team in Macquarie Asset Management. David has 15+ years of experience in real estate research and strategy across global property markets and sectors. David joined Macquarie from UBS Asset Management where he was the Head of Real Estate Research & Strategy for Asia Pacific. Prior to that, David worked at Grosvenor as the UK Head of Research based in London.

Amélie Delaunay

Amélie Delaunay is the Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV, the Asian association for investors in non-listed real estate vehicles where she leads a team of five, responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Market information and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including ANREV indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.

Amélie has more than 19 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 16 years.

Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

John Stawyskyj

John is a recognised leader in property acquisition and development law.  His focus is on corporate/commercial and real estate property transactions.  John has extensive experience in all aspects of property transactions, including assisting clients with acquisitions, disposals, joint venture arrangements, development projects, leasing, financing arrangements, property management and relevant hotel and gaming regulatory issues.  He also has experience in the negotiation and drafting of management and operating agreements. 
John has been involved in some of Australia's most complex development projects including Crown Resorts $1.7 billion unsolicited proposal for the Barangaroo Integrated Resort and the $2 billion redevelopment of the Carlton Limited Brewery Site, Broadway, Sydney.
In his dealings with clients, John is "extremely personable and responsive" (to their) "demanding needs".
 

Damian Fitzpatrick
Senior Portfolio Manager - Global Real Assets - Real Estate
Australian Retirement Trust

Mark Lee is a Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for managing the strategy and implementation of the Real Estate asset class for the Australian Retirement Trust, a superannuation fund with over A$230bn in funds under management. The ART real estate portfolio is ~A$15bn and Mark’s key responsibilities include portfolio construction, investment research, manager selection, execution and management of global investments in direct property, coinvestments, joint ventures and funds in both traditional and alternative real estate sectors such as holiday parks, self-storage, for-rent residential and data centres.

Mark joined Sunsuper (which is now the Australian Retirement Trust post-merger with QSuper) over 10 years ago and prior to this role, worked in commercial and project finance lending in both WestLB and Commonwealth Bank. Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial and Finance) from UNSW, is a CFA charterholder and is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Alec Harper
Head of Australia
Oxford Properties Group

As Head of Australia Alec is responsible for Oxford’s Australian business and oversees the management and execution of the real estate portfolio and investment activities.

Alec joined Oxford in 2018 at the inception of the Sydney office and played a key role in the group’s first major investment in the region, AUD$4.5BN office portfolio take private. Since then Alec has focused on the establishment of Oxford’s Australian business, executing in excess of AUD$10B gross transaction and development activity, maintaining the core office portfolio and executing new strategies notably in the BTR sector.

Prior to joining Oxford, Alec held roles in major Australian REITs and was more recently based in London working in real estate private equity focusing on global emerging markets.

Brett Dillon
Head of Property

Responsible for leading the development and implementation of TCorp's A$10bn global property portfolio strategy, Brett Dillon has over 25 years’ experience in Australian and global markets.

Joining TCorp in 2021, Brett has held a range of senior leadership roles including Head of Funds Management at AXA Investment Managers and Head of Investment at Grosvenor Australia. He has extensive Executive Committee and director experience and has been a responsible manager under an AFSL License. 

Brett is a member of the of the Property Council of Australia Capital Markets division Owner’s Committee. He is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Brett holds a graduate certificate in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA as well as a Bachelor of Commerce, (Land Economics) from Western Sydney University.
