The ANREV Investment Intentions Survey 2021 - Australia focused webinar session is successfully held on 18 February 2021.

The 2021 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey attracted 99 respondents in total including 84 institutional investors and 15 funds of funds managers. At this session the key highlights of the survey was presented by Amelie Delaunay, Director of Research and Professional Standards at ANREV. Mr Peter Studley, General Manager, Research at DEXUS Property Group moderated a panel discussion with a special focus on Australia.

Peter Studley
Head of Research
DEXUS Property Group

Peter Studley is the Head of Research for Dexus Property Group. He is responsible for coordinating the group’s view on commercial property markets. Peter is one of the country’s leading forecasters, with over twenty years experience in the real estate industry.  Peter’s time providing investment support and strategic advice for Dexus has coincided with steady growth in the platform. Peter sits on the ANREV Research Committee and the Property Council of Australia’s National Cities Roundtable.
 

Alex Crossing
Regional Head - Asia Pacific
CBRE Global Investment Partners

Alex Crossing is the Regional Head for Asia Pacific within CBRE Global Investment Partners (GIP) and has worked across the Singapore and Sydney offices since 2008. She is responsible for managing the Asia Pacific component of global investment mandates, sourcing and undertaking due diligence on investment opportunities. Ms. Crossing is on the GIP Executive Committee and represents GIP on the group’s Global Responsible Investment Management Committee. 

Alex joined the CBRE GIP team in 2008 after spending four years with CB Richard Ellis in Hong Kong as a Director within the CBRE Consulting business. Ms. Crossing performed a regional role working with CBRE Consulting teams across Asia providing strategic investment advice including market entry strategies, feasibility/highest and best use assessments as well as research and analysis relating to real estate acquisition and disposition. Ms. Crossing was also a Property Manager for AMP Capital and she started her career in the real estate sector as an Analyst for Tourism Asset Holdings Limited (TAHL) in 1997.

Alex has a degree in Business from the University of Technology Sydney, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has completed RIAA’s Responsible Investment Essentials. 
 

Neil Matthews
Head of Property Investments
REST

Neil is Head of Property Investments at Rest, where he is responsible for setting and implementing investment strategy, asset acquisitions and portfolio management across Rest’s property investments.  The role includes sourcing investment opportunities including the analysis and following through of all aspects of the origination and asset management of each investment.

Prior to joining Rest, Neil was Head of Portfolio Management and Research for Westpac Property Finance with responsibilities including setting the asset allocation strategy and directing asset risk management across a large institutional loan book.

Neil holds a Master of Business (Property), Graduate Diploma in Property and an Associate Diploma in Valuations from RMIT.

Martijn Van Eldik
Head of Funds Advisory - Asia Pacific

Current Responsibilities
Martijn is the Asia Pacific Head of the Jones Lang LaSalle Funds Advisory team, based out of the Singapore office
He is responsible for coordinating the firms efforts on private fund advisory and capital raising activities in Asia Pacific
An important part of Martijn’s role is to organize our coverage of indirect capital flows into real estate from institutional investors in Asia Pacific; ensuring that we have a deep network of relationships and regular dialogue with all indirect capital sources investing in real estate as well as with their consultants

Relevant Experience
Martijn has over 15 years of relevant experience, specialising in cross border capital transactions and has been working in Asia since 2004
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Martijn was at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing where he was responsible for the capital raising in Asia Pacific and the Middle East for the Morgan Stanley Real Estate suite of closed-end opportunistic funds and open-end core funds (2012-2017)
Previously, Martijn was at CBRE Global Investors and its predecessor entity, ING Real Estate Investment Management, a firm where he spent over 10 year in various roles focusing on capital raising and fund development

Education and Affiliations
Martijn is Dutch and has lived & worked in The Netherlands, Hong Kong and Singapore
He studied business economics at the Erasmus University in The Netherlands and has a Msc in Real Estate from the Amsterdam School of Real Estate
