Presenters Bios

Jean Woo
Partner - Global Loans
Ashurst

Jean is a partner in the international finance department in the Singapore office. She specialises in international banking and finance transactions. She has a wide breadth of financing experience from structured trade and commodity, leveraged/pre-IPO financing, real estate finance and restructuring. Her significant experience is advising on a variety of cross-border financings in Europe and Asia.

Jean has extensive experience advising banks and trading companies on trade finance structures across the globe, particularly in emerging markets in Asia and Latin America. Jean's practice covers financings on a diverse range of commodities such as oil, coal, copper, nickel, cocoa, cashew and soya beans. She has significant experience and knowledge in relation to multijurisdictional trade receivables purchase facilities, supply chain finance techniques and export financing (ECA-backed finance).

Jean also has experience advising banks on the preparation and updates of various transactional banking products relating to cash and liquidity management products and trade finance.

Eric Tan
Partner - Global Loans
Ashurst

Eric Tan is a partner in our banking and finance practice.

Eric specialises in leveraged buyout and acquisition finance, cross-border lending, pre-IPO finance, real estate finance and structured finance. He has also advised on numerous private note issues and private equity investments in the forms of debt and convertible instruments.

Eric's client base includes leading international and regional financial institutions, alternative credit providers, multinational corporates and private equity houses.
